Job Description
This is a remote position.
A VMware SME oversees designing deploying and managing VMware solutions. They provide technical expertise on VMware platforms (vSphere NSX vSAN Horizon) and advise on virtualization strategies cloud integration and automation. The role involves troubleshooting optimizing infrastructure and ensuring system security.
Lead the design deployment and management of VMware infrastructures.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- VMware Expertise: Proficient in vSphere NSX vSAN and Horizon.
- VMware Certifications: VCP VCAP or higher.
- Cloud Integration: Familiarity with AWS Azure.
- Automation Tools: Knowledge of tools like Terraform Ansible.
- Networking: Solid understanding of softwaredefined networking (SDN) and storage.
- Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell Python.
- Problemsolving: Strong analytical skills.
- Security: Awareness of cybersecurity and encryption protocols for virtual environments.
- Soft Skills: Effective communication and project management.
- Experience: 5 years working with VMware platforms.
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity expertise.
