Vital Planet is a fastgrowing natural supplement brand located in beautiful coastal Palm Harbor Florida (Tampa Bay area). We specialize in probiotics digestive care and other highquality nutritional products for people and pets. We are searching for an experienced Product Development Manager to partner with company leadership in the innovation process.

What You Will Do

In this dynamic role you will manage and contribute to the creation and development of new products by collaborating with executives marketing and sales to identify market trends and help develop concepts. You will project manage the product development process from ideation to launch while actively engaging in both tactical and strategic tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of new product development and vendor management in collaboration with senior leadership marketing and operations.
• Implementing a project management process to manage new product development.
• Being accountable for product launch objectives and goals developed with marketing sales operations manufacturing partners and supply chain.
• Working with leadership to identify new innovative concepts develop new raw material supply chains new product formulations dosing and packaging innovations and reformulation of existing formulas as needed.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure market research and competitive analyses are conducted to support new products in development.
• Coordinating with contract manufacturers raw material suppliers labs and supply chain to forecast and communicate raw material and packaging needs for successful sourcing and production.
• Effectively managing required tasks coordinating with leadership quality marketing sales and manufacturing and supply chain partners.
• Developing Supplement Facts (human and pet formulas).
• Working closely with Quality to set finished product testing specifications.
• Leading certification processes as needed (e.g. USDA Organic IFOS).
• Conducting efficient weekly meetings with internal departments to guarantee ontime product launches and monitoring and reporting on new product launch progress.
• Proactively identifying and resolving budget product or timeline issues; communicating proactive solutions to upper management; adjusting priorities based on the organization's needs.
• Aligning product formulations with compelling structure function claims and helping marketing with product positioning messaging and attributes.
• Conducting basic online trademark and patent searches as needed.
• Helping develop pricing recommendations for new product launches as well as formulation development in line with budget.

Who You Are

We are searching for an experienced CPG product development professional who is passionate hardworking and dedicated. You are a strategic organized detailoriented creative proactive and openminded team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will direct the company’s new product development by working closely with key team members to successfully manage the company’s innovation pipeline on time and on budget.

Qualifications:

• 35 years of Product Development experience.
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience.
• Natural Products experience is required and Supplement experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency nimbleness and resourcefulness in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Project management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• This role is onsite 5x/week in Palm Harbor FL.
