Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department manage the companys financial records and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a detailoriented professional with strong leadership skills who can manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable general ledger and payroll.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods policies and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits and tax returns.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and review financial reports budgets and forecasts for accuracy.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to management.
  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Train mentor and supervise accounting staff to ensure they meet their performance goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing construction or agriculture industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
