Director of Risk Management Medical

Rust Belt Resources has partnered with a national health care organization located in Las Vegas on a direct hire Director of Risk Management. The ideal person will have 2 to 5 years of Rish Management with knowledge and familiarity of Joint Commission standards and compliance.

Responsible for the ongoing effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities.

Manages performance and oversight of the claim management functions including investigation and analysis.

Performs risk assessments including new services performance of root cause analysis for the system including action plan tracking and facilitation.

Manages the Patient Safety Council with incorporation of the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program.

Works collaboratively with department directors and the executive team to implement Corporate and Facility risk reduction strategies.

Provides expertise to regulatory and compliance standards and processes.

Performs data analysis reporting educating providing leadership and being accountable for related activities.

Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission.

Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.

Demonstrates strong leadership organization communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff as well as ability to interact well with the public.

Deep knowledge of the managed subfunction and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function

Thorough knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.

Application of techniques such as RCA FMEA and other quality tools.

Must possess a detailed indepth knowledge of the principles of regulations and standards to meet hospital licensing and accreditation.

Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission Standards and CMS/DHS Regulations.

Understanding of statistical analysis.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited College or University in related field required

25 years Risk Management experience

Current RN license in the state of Nevada (if Registered Nurse)

Six Sigma a plus
