• Number of Students: Total district population is approximately 2500
• Number of Sites: 5 buildings
• Start date: August 2024
• End date: May 2025
• Working hours: 35 per week to 37.5 per week
• Duties: Certified School Nurse (CSN) or Registered Nurse

What you will be doing:

• Assess the health needs of students.
• Develop emergency care plans and individual health plans with input from parents and/or physicians.
• Comply with laws relating to student health including obtaining parental and guardian consent.
• Provide care for ill medically fragile and/or injured students.
• Provide health information and serve as a resource to teachers staff and administrators.
• Identify health problems and refer students for proper treatment.
• Administer first aid medication and specialized medical treatments.
• Assess situations involving student safety abuse and other healthrelated issues.
• Comply with all state rules Board of Education policies and administrative procedures.
• Maintain and be accountable for equipment and inventory ensuring safety and proper working order.
• Communicate evaluation results and reports of student health needs to educational staff parents students and other relevant agencies.
• Attend IEP department and other meetings as assigned.
• Facilitate inservice education and professional development as requested.
• Provide consultation to staff regarding student needs professional needs and classroom/building needs.
• Utilize local state and federal resources/services to benefit students.
• Reassess students needs at intervals deemed educationally relevant.
• Implement technology to enhance and provide access to students instructional programs communicate collect and analyze data and compile reports.
• Provide services at multiple work sites offering direct therapy interventions and assistance as required.
• Establish and maintain a positive and safe therapeutic or educational environment for students.
• Communicate the needs of student health services to the appropriate administrators.
• Review selfperformance and seek appropriate guidance and consultation.
• Remain abreast of professional developments in the field.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building and/or district administration.

Experience you will need:

• Professional Educator’s License with a School Nurse Endorsement.
• School is also open to hire registered nurse without PEL for a registered nurse job.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel within district buildings as necessary.
• Capability to bend stoop and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
