The Role:
We are looking for a Consultant/Specialist General Medicine to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients of the health service directly or indirectly.

An interest and or expertise in Respiratory, Gastroenterology or another sub speciality would be highly desirable but not essential.

This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future to provide clinical leadership and support to the team. You will have responsibility to contribute to developing and improving clinical standards and practices as well as contributing to the teaching and training program for medical students, this also includes research.

The Hospital:
The Hospital has undergone a multimillion-dollar redevelopment to become a modern Hospital that provides high quality care within an environment of continuous improvement. Services available at the Hospital include 5 intensive care beds, coronary care, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, general, orthopaedic and vascular surgery, 24-hour emergency medicine, renal dialysis unit, a level 2 special-care nursery of neonates and a comprehensive Integrated Mental Health Service.

Allied Health services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech therapy, psychology, social work, pharmacy, medical imaging and pathology.

Skills & Qualifications required:
FRACP Australian Fellowship

Motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements.
Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
