The Role:
We are seeking Specialist/Consultant Anaesthetists to join a friendly regional hospital in a beautiful coastal location. A permanent full or part time position is available.

Total Remuneration up to $528,444……..plus benefits!

Interstate and international healthcare workers who move into Queensland (including Brisbane) will receive a $10,000 incentive on commencement.
You will receive another $10,000 after completing a full 12 months of service in Queensland.

The Consultant/Specialist will provide safe, high-quality anaesthetic services and assist with direction, service planning, and clinical governance for the Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic, and High Dependency Unit, overseeing staff including GP Anaesthetists.

Responsibilities include delivering general and regional anaesthesia, as well as obstetric services such as epidurals and spinal anaesthesia. The role also involves participating in the out-of-hours on-call roster.

Hospital:
This is a 70-bed hospital and caters to a regional population of approximately 65,000 incorporating smaller rural/coastal settlements within its catchment area.

Location:
A sub-tropical climate and its proximity to islands, waterways and beaches provides year-round boating, fishing, swimming, and surfing. The climate and oceanic setting also yield’s delicious seafood including the famous crab. The city has its own unique appearance with a gorgeous harbour, the environment is so clean and green. You will be spoiled by the many natural attractions including islands, beaches and waterways offering an appealing lifestyle.

Brisbane is just a short 1hour flight.

Mandatory qualifications: 
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) – IMG’s who have been assessed as substantially comparable will be considered.
