Director of Labor Delivery-Perm

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a fulltime Director of Labor & Delivery position. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 7/10/2024

Shift: Full Time

Salary range: $114400.00 to $131560.00

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily preparation of delivery rooms and schedule; making team assignments by making adjustments to accommodate addon cases and absent personnel. (Daily assignments are made based on staff competencies and needs.)
• Oversee daily care of patients.
• Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing divisions philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to state Board of Nursing and State Nurse Practice Act requirements and other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments.
• Maintains nursing staff by recruiting selecting orienting and training nurses and auxiliary staff.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.
• Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Maintains nursing supplies inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends; anticipating needed supplies; and approving requisitions and cost allocations.
• Assisting with patient care as needed including circulating and/or scrubbing required to take calls as assigned including administrative calls and/or staff calls.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Labor Delivery Recover and PostPartum experience is required
• At least ten (10) years of experience and training in Labor Delivery and Recovery & Postpartum is preferred

Education:

• Must have a Masters Degree

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Must have a current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
• Must have BLS/BCLS certification
• ACLS and NRP are required
