13 weeks Days 8hour shift 40 hours guaranteed weekly

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and the direct supervision of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse the ST functions to facilitate the safe and effective outcome of intraoperative surgical procedures. The ST processes expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques following the nursing practice standards established by the specific unit/department by the rules regulations and/or standards established by the State Board of Nursing the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations AORN and AST and appropriate specialty organizations relevant to the patient population under care.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience: Clinical experience in an acute care setting as a Surgical technologist preferred

Education:

• An associate degree in Surgical Technology is required

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Surgical Technologist Certification (NBSTSA)

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

**Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid **The Client has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13week contract
