Data Scientist Position Open at Fractory

To conquer the world of cloud manufacturing we are looking for a seasoned data scientist who is not afraid to tackle complicated problems or find clever solutions.

In this role you will develop recommendation and price estimation tools for manufacturingrelated problems. You will improve analytics tools to support pricing decisionmaking help improve current pricing and recommendation algorithms and create new ones. Your work will contribute to the development of new solutions for production planning and quotes saving a lot of valuable time for our customers (engineers) our own engineers and manufacturers worldwide.

The data team has a wide range of responsibilities from managing dashboards for company KPIs to developing machine learning solutions for the product. You would join a team with a data engineer a data analyst and another data scienceoriented person.

The Role

• Researching developing and deploying pricing and recommendation tools
• Analyzing monitoring and improving existing machinelearning tools
• Evaluating and testing state of the art machine learning methods for 3D models
• Participating in grant applications and research projects
• Constantly learning more about manufacturing technologies and processes
• Collaborating with team members and manufacturing partners
• Helping out in daytoday analytics and data tasks
• Working on crossteam projects between the data team and the development team
• Documenting your findings and describing improvements/algorithms to the developers and product managers for example what properties should be extracted from CAD files to enable better decisions

What Were Looking For

• Indepth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis
• Experience with common machine learning tools and libraries deployment of trained models
• Productoriented mindset
• Familiar with exploratory data analysis techniques tools and SQL
• Good analytical problemsolving skills
• Ability to work independently on researchheavy algorithm problems defining the root problem and proposing a viable solution
• Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability and interest in learning new things. We dont expect you to know all the tools or everything about the industry. The most important thing is your interest in learning and adapting.
