Job Description
Adelphi is looking to recruit a Autonomous psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to work at a facility in Petersburg Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide virtual psychiatric services to adolescents and children and will conduct primary care screenings as needed at multiple clinics.

Requirements:
Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health
Autonomous Practice designation issued by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
Must possess and maintain prescriptive authority in the Commonwealth of Virginia
BLS
DEA License
Valid VA Drivers License
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience in community mental health with persons with serious and persistent mental illness developmental disabilities substance use and cooccurring disorders.
Responsibilities:
Provide consultation to agency staff about clinical and medical services.
Conduct assessments/evaluations of psychiatric illnesses.
Monitors client s response to treatment including medication side effects and adverse reactions.
Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests medications and other therapies.
Completes prior authorizations and paperwork as requested.
Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model DMAS and CSB policies procedures regulatory standards and guidelines.
Provide consultation and guidance for Primary Care Screening and Monitoring
program.
