Job Description
Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Location: Plymouth NH
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shifts: Nights
No. of positions: 1
General Certifications:
ACLSPALSBLS/BCLS
Certification Requirements:
ACLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)
Requirement Description :
The nurse to patient ratio is a 2:1 for ICU levels of care. However for bed management purposes they could have MNS level patients and a higher ratio by themselves with someone on call. There is a supervisor inhouse that could assist them until the oncall nurse arrives. There are generally 2 nurses on unless the unit low volume census a nurse but would have back up available until that nurse comes in.
Must assess and identify patient problems/needs establish a plan of care implement interventions and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress.
Supports organizational efforts to continuously improve patient satisfaction scores.
Performs and documents physical and psychosocial assessment of patients.
Treats coworkers with courtesy and respect. Actively works to strengthen interdepartmental relationships.
Provides comfort the patients and families including prompt and effective nursing management. Collaborates with patient family and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
Experience Required :
- 2 years of CURRENT ICU experience Required
- Recent experience with high acuity MS/Tele patient Required
- Prior travel experience Preferred
- BSN Preferred
