Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position

Vertical Lead / Senior Manager Govt segment

Reports to

Business Head

Key relationships

Internal Head Sales & Marketing Presales Product PMGT Finance HR

External Govt. Customers ministries defense PSUs other Telecom partners (service providers)

Key Result Areas

  1. Business growth in Govt. vertical through excellent relationship building with the various Ministries Defense and other Govt. bodies
  2. Profitability / gross contribution to be achieved.
  3. New initiatives in services offerings marketing strategic tieups with Technology and logistics partners.
  4. Actively work on strategies for diversification in business & implementation.
  5. Building a performance driven team and culturally aligned to the values of the Tata Group.
  6. Building and maintaining relations at top level in the Ministries Defense Government bodies/PSU

Responsibilities

  1. Business Strategies
    1. Establishing Sales and Marketing strategies and operationalize actions to maximize business performance within accepted risk boundaries in Govt/PSU segment
    2. Profitability of companys business lines Overseeing design marketing promotion and quality of programs products and services for the assigned business vertical.
    3. Promoting Companys vision mission and values and ensuring achievement of goals and objectives of the approved strategic plan
    4. Competition mapping and building strategies for competitive advantage
    5. Establish strategy to build Govt. business focusing on statewide network integration Projects System Integration projects and education Projects etc.

  1. Financial Management
    1. Drawingup annual budget forecasts for approval. Ongoing prudent management of the resources within the budget guidelines approved for the year..

  1. Customer Relationship Management
    1. Develops and effectively influences customers choice of NELCO being the preferred vendor within the Groups framework on Code of Conduct.
    2. Seeks and builds healthy relationships with key accounts decisionmaking teams and periodically interface them with key NELCO stakeholders.
    3. All Customer oriented processes from PreSales to Delivery to Customer feedback is managed well internally to ensure high Customer Satisfaction score.
    4. Build relations with large integrators Govt Offices and Bureaucrats.

  1. Project and Operations Management
    1. Ensuring Project execution at various sites are done within committed timelines costeffectively with due consideration to quality and adherence to processes defined compliances.
    2. Liaise with internal stakeholders for appropriate resources processes and compliance requirements.
    3. Ensuring risk mitigation is envisaged and covered.
    4. Manage Vendors and telecom partners for effective execution of the Govt projects
    5. Ensure TBEM / ISO practice / standards and / or such other quality initiatives are supported and implemented.
    6. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships and ties with regulators / customer auditors.

  1. People Management
    1. Develop healthy working relationships with peers reporting Managers crossfunctional teams
    2. Develop healthy relationships with Ministries & Defense partners and vendors for ensuring repeat business from them
    3. Develop team to handle higher role or leadership responsibilities within the organization or for crossorganization responsibilities.
