Job Description

Title CONTRACTS MANAGER
Job location Chattanooga TN 37402
Pay Rate $## per hour on W2
Duration 12 months contract role
Shift time 1st Shift(6AM3:30PM)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Manager to serve as a project manager on specific contractual projects and manage supply chain business processes within the assigned area or contractual relationships. The successful candidate will serve as the supply chain focal point for interfacing with management support organizations suppliers and end users in contractual matters.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership of supply chain processes at assigned levels and assume a leadership role for strategic sourcing and contract management.
Function as a business expert in supply chain activities providing advice and expertise in managing processes contractual matters and customer/supplier performance issues.
Accountable for contract management across the agency.
Lead supply chain teams on projects to perform market and usage/cost benefit analyses and to plan source negotiate and contract for goods and services.
Work with the highest levels of supply chain activities and interface across the organization as well as externally with process optimization and total ownership cost reduction as primary objectives.
Responsible for expanding relationships with suppliers and customers to foster innovation and continuous improvements in business processes and product/service offerings.
Develop new and innovative strategies to accomplish costeffective supply chain objectives.
May lead a small staff as necessary.
Key Attributes
The key attributes of this position include leadership in all areas complexity of work requirements independence and authority level of interface analysis decisionmaking and a strong focus on relationships and business processes.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in a businessrelated field of study or equivalent related education training and experience.
MBA or similar degree is desirable.
Eight to ten years of experience in an industrial environment involving supply chain management and negotiation process improvement and financial analysis.
At least two years of managerial experience is desirable.
Supervisory experience is desirable.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Facilitation skills related to leading in a team environment.
Ability to prepare and present effective presentations and communicate well both orally and in writing.
Indepth knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
Understanding of business policies laws regulations executive orders and federal guidelines governing contracting.
Ability to interpret and apply these requirements to others both inside and outside of the organization.
Current computing skills and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships.
Ability to plan and organize variable workloads.
Knowledge of the products and services utilized by the organization is essential.
Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position/access requirements and essential job functions.
