About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Planning Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio by identifying market trends understanding customer needs and translating these insights into strategic product plans. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research and Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends customer preferences and competitive landscape.
• Analyse data to derive actionable insights and recommend products. strategies.
2. Product Strategy Development:
• Develop and implement product plans that align with the companys overall strategy and market demands.
• Define product positioning target markets and competitive advantages.
• Collaborate with engineering design and marketing teams to ensure product plans are feasible and aligned with company goals.
3. Product Lifecycle Management:
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor product performance and make necessary adjustments based on market feedback and sales data such as managing BYD year model facelift and next generation.
4. CrossFunctional Collaboration:
• Work closely with sales marketing engineering and production teams to ensure seamless product development and launch processes.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among different departments to achieve product objectives.
5. Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
• Develop and manage product budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze the financial performance of products and recommend costsaving measures or revenueenhancing strategies.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with our distributors and dealers to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction and great user experiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business administration Engineering Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product planning product management or a related role within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of Australasias automotive market trends technologies and competitive landscape.
• Experience in product lifecycle management and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Excellent analytical strategic thinking and problemsolving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel Tableau SAP).
