Job Description:

This position involves overseeing the shipment receipt identification storage disbursement and inventory of materials supplies and equipment in the assigned area. Responsibilities include accurately identifying parts and finished products storing them properly and issuing them for work orders. The role requires making precise counts entering data into the computer correctly filling out necessary paperwork and tagging and routing shipments via the appropriate carrier. Additionally the candidate must safely and efficiently operate a forklift perform physical tasks such as reaching bending twisting standing or walking for extended periods to pull parts replenish stocking locations conduct cycle counts load parts on pallets and remove parts from boxes. Strong reading and writing skills are necessary to comprehend safety warnings work orders special instructions computer readouts CRT screens and to complete inventory control documents and cycle counts accurately.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years material handling experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Daily exposure to variable shop conditions based on assigned tasks generally dirty.
• Subject to shop noise.
• Extensive standing and walking involved.
• Exposure to drying and irritating fumes vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards affecting skin and eyes.
• Work occurs both indoors and outdoors typically indoors.
• Occasionally work in dusty or confining areas within the shop/lab.
