Senior Backend Engineer

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Python Java and experience working on largescale distributed systems. As a Senior Software Engineer youll play a crucial role in our Scrum teams deploying multiple times daily via CI/CD pipelines to our Kubernetes clusters globally. Leveraging your expertise in eventdriven microservicebased architecture youll help build and support products that drive innovation and excellence. Collaborating closely with Lead Engineers youll translate product requirements into actionable architecture while mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform handson Java Development adoption of modern software engineering & delivery practices using Java Spring Boot and Test Automation.
  
• Work closely with the team to understand needs around client stakeholder management.
  
• Demonstrate a passion for learning and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
  
• Contribute to a culture of innovation ideas and continuous improvement along with a great attitude solid communication skills willingness to learn and collaborate
  
• Develop and maintain Java applications and RESTful APIs in various environments
  
• Create solutions that are highquality scalable and maintainable with an emphasis on backend systems and related technologies
  
• Carry out unit and integration tests
  
• Identifying and resolving bugs
  
• Make sure youve developed enough test cases to ensure the design criteria are satisfied
  
• Produce wellwritten documentation for each microservice
  
• Creating and deploying microservices using the Spring Boot framework
  
• Interconnecting microservices with databases
  
• Knowledge of how streaming systems such as Kafka operate
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
  
• 5 years development experience using Java in a J2EE environment
  
• Experience in Java and Spring Boot framework
  
• Understanding of creating applications with RESTful API
  
• Experience in Python/Django will be an added advantage
  
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
  
• Working knowledge of Git Eclipse/IntelliJ
  
• Experience with Maven and/or Gradle
  
• Experience working in an agile environment
  
• System Design experience is nonnegotiable
