JOB TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer I iOS

REPORTING TO: Principal Engineer or Manager
The Senior Software Engineer I on the mobile team will leverage cuttingedge technology in a highly regulated industry to deliver lifesustaining systems to our customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Owns the design development and testing of iOS software features that support remote management of insulin therapy.
- Supports the refinement and implementation of features that can be worked on by a small team of engineers.
- Independently identifies opportunities in software or processes gains engineering alignment and implements proposals.
- Stays present with iOS standards and new technologies.
- Responsible for software design specifications interface descriptions and other software documentations; may act as documentation owner for highlevel features.
- Guides software validation by communicating software changes effectively and reviewing test regression selection.
- Writes testable extensible code and consistently contributes unit tests for all fixes and new code introduced.
- Contributes to the training mentoring and development of junior team members.
- Independently diagnoses replicates and addresses bugs.
- Ensures compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge skills & abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead crossteam collaboration in the engineering organization.
- A handson focus on execution interspersed with actively mentoring and fostering talent among the team.
- Commitment to trust and transparency within the working team to cultivate collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience building consumerfacing native iOS apps.
- Experience with testdriven development and pair programming.
- Ability to write software requirements and translate requirements into design and implementation.
- Knowledge of basic Bluetooth Low Energy architecture and principles a plus.
Minimum certifications/educational level:
- Bachelor s degree in computer sciences Engineering or Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
Minimum experience:
- 5 years of software development experience.
- 3 years of native iOS app development experience.
- 1 year developing in Swift.
JOB SCOPE:
- A seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization.
- Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Normally receives little instruction on daytoday work general instruction on new assignments.
