Our client Direct Edge is looking for a Sr. Accountant in the Anaheim CA market!

Job Summary

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller and is based at the company s headquarters. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problemsolving.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Corporate Controller to help oversee the monthend and yearend close processes including preparation and review of journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly accruals and adjustments.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of credit card transactions and related accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain Prepaid and Fixed Asset accounts as well as corresponding amortization and depreciation.
  • Prepare inter company journal entries and reconcile corresponding accounts.
  • Provide leadership to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) departments ensuring efficient processing of invoices payments and collections.
  • Work crossfunctionally with sales and operations teams to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and company guidelines.
  • Support external financial statement audits by preparing audit schedules explanations and documentation as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications Education Experience License/Certifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting finance or related field required.
  • 35 years of progressive accounting experience including handson experience with general ledger functions and monthend/yearend close processes.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with monthly accruals credit card reconciliations and oversight of AP and AR departments.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks and ERP conversions from QuickBooks a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables xlookups etc.) and ability to analyze large data sets.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact confidently with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Selfstarter with ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • 100% inoffice

Compensation:

The base compensation range for this fulltime position is $90000 $110000 per year plus benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by various factors including role experience and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within the range actual individual compensation is determined by various factors including location jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training.
