Job Description

Job Title: Social Worker Safeguarding
Location: Northampton / Wellingborough
Duration: 26 weeks / ongoing
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: 38 per hour umbrella
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Job Category: Lot 14 Social Care Qualified
Ideal Start Date: ASAP

  • Provide safeguarding and protection for children within Northampton and Wellingborough.
  • Implement current legislation and policies effectively to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to provide comprehensive care and protection plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interventions and assessments.
  • Continuously develop professional skills through postqualification learning and development opportunities.


  • Requirements

  • Education: CQSW/CSS DipSW/Degree in Social Work Home Office letter of Recognition or equivalent.
  • Clearance: Satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service clearance.
  • Registration: HCPC registration.
  • At least three years post qualifying experience if undertaking role within
  • Adoption Services.


    Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration. Minimum one year s post-qualification experience. Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills. Excellent record-keeping and report-writing abilities. Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage a complex workload.
