Fire Alarm Service Engineer Description

  • This is a fulltime onsite role for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.
  • The Fire Alarm Service Engineer will be responsible for daytoday tasks such as troubleshooting technical support preventive maintenance and customer service in fire and security systems.
  • You will be expected to cover the NorthWest area
  • Call out is 210 per week 30 per day. Up midnight is time and half midnight onwards double time
  • Callout is 1 in 6 weeks
  • Paid doortodoor except for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening.
  • Plenty of overtime available
  • Engineers must have their hand tools

Requirements

  • FIA Trained 123 as a minimum
  • Gent trained
  • Field Service and Technical Support skills
  • Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills
  • Customer Service skills
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
  • Experience in the fire protection and security industry is a plus.
  • Technical certifications or relevant qualifications

Minimum 3+ Years in Fire & Security Engineering: Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarms and security systems. Local Expertise: Familiarity with local regulations and standards in London, Hatfield, and Surrey/Hampshire. Clean Driving License: Must possess a valid and clean driving license to travel between client sites. Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with fire and security system installations, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and provide outstanding service. Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of installation, maintenance, and documentation. Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals. Desirable Commissioning Experience: Experience in commissioning fire and security systems is highly desirable and will be considered an asset
