As Head of Platform Engineering at Paymentology you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the company s cloud platforms and infrastructure ensuring scalability reliability and performance. This role requires extensive experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps practices within the financial services industry ideally with a specific focus on payment processing platforms. The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure and leading highperforming engineering teams.

• Lead and manage the Platform Engineering team including SRE and DevSecOps functions.
• Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and enhancing the company s cloud platforms infrastructure and containerisation.
• Ensure the reliability scalability and performance of the payment processing platform.
• Oversee the design deployment and management of cloud infrastructure leveraging best practices and industry standards.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance and reliability identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Collaborate with development security and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the platform.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations standards and security requirements.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the Platform Engineering team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends incorporating them into the platform strategy as appropriate.

Requirements :

What it takes to succeed:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Google Cloud Professional Engineer Kubernetes Certification) are highly desirable.
• 7 years of experience in platform engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry ideally payment processing.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure OCS) infrastructure management and containerisation technologies (Docker Kubernetes Helm)
• Proven experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry and payment processing systems.
• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and senior management.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet).
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).
