Summary:

The Planning Director is responsible for leading and facilitating the strategic planning process to ensure successful execution of contract award requirements aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

• Develop implement and monitor comprehensive planning initiatives while collaborating across organizational departments to leverage subject matter experts and appropriate resources to establish and maintain operational readiness.
  
• Collaborate with internal business partners to create operational plans aligned with the longterm vision goals and objectives.
  
• Identify emerging opportunities and risks to inform strategic decisionmaking.
  
• Develop short and longterm operational plans in coordination with other department directors and their teams.
  
• Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.
  
• Monitor operational performance against targets and adjust as necessary to ensure major milestones are achieved on time.
  
• Work closely with the Finance Department to develop accurate pricing models and project plans.
  
• Identify and assess potential risks to the organizations objectives and develop mitigation strategies.
  
• Monitor regulatory and market changes that may impact project plans and adjust planning accordingly and implement processes and controls to minimize exposure and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Knowledge and Skills:

• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  
• Knowledge of timekeeping record keeping and maintaining data.
  
• Organizational skills with the ability to set priorities while handling multiple tasks.
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  
• Ability to negotiate influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and remain flexible under changing priorities and business environments.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  
• Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365.
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in business administration finance economics or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  
• 5 8 years proven experience in strategic planning preferably in a leadership role.
  
• English proficiency required bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  
• Must pass a drug test motor vehicle record check and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
  

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have 3 5 direct reports.

Work Environment

This position operates in a field and remote work environment seven days a week and holidays.

Physical Demands

The employee may be required to stand walk twist turn bend climb lift or kneel. Occasional lifting to 40 lbs may occur.

Travel

Travel required @ 30%
