Job Description


Position Summary:

The Head of Purchase Department will lead and oversee all commercial activities including Exports Imports Logistics Incentives Export Banking Insurance & Claims Indirect Taxation. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in liaising with various authorities understanding project implementation and identifying opportunities for cost and tax reductions. The successful candidate will also implement various techniques to improve processes and leverage government schemes to promote exports.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all export and import activities.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Manage export incentives and liaise with financial institutions for export banking solutions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation for incentive claims.
  • Develop strategies to optimize global supply chain and logistics operations
  • Coordinate and manage logistics operations to ensure timely delivery.
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee all types of insurance related to commercial activities.
  • Manage the claims process ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various governmental and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and secure necessary approvals.
  • Stay informed about government schemes to promote exports.
  • Leverage relevant schemes to benefit the company s export activities.
  • Provide commercial insights and support for project implementation.
  • Ensure commercial viability and compliance of projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and taxes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure optimal cost management.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Finance Economics or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a commercial leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in exports imports logistics and related areas.
  • Strong understanding of export import and insurance.
  • Proven experience in liaising with governmental and regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent project management skills and understanding of project implementation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost and tax reduction.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements.
