We are hiring a Director of Nursing to lead a care home in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- To oversee every aspect of the program to guarantee consistently excellent resident care.
- To serve as an oncall resource for the home offering assistance counsel and direction.
- Along with CNMs and deputy home manager(s) plan and oversee the oncall schedule.
- To set an exemplary example and serve as a role model for staff encouraging a personcentered approach that is the cornerstone of the philosophy and values upheld in the nursing home.
- Participate in the hiring choosing orienting managing and overseeing of all new employees.
- To oversee and assist all department heads as well as the personnel in charge of nursing housekeeping maintenance and catering.
- Assist and instruct employees to guarantee that policies and procedures are followed around the clock. This will involve a few trips for nighttime surveillance.
- To guarantee that the residents under our care receive a personcentered service and coordinate and interact with MDT practitioners.
Requirements
- In the last six years a qualified nurse with at least three years of management experience has provided care for elderly patients.
- A postregistration management degree in medicine or a closely connected discipline
- A track record of success in clinical healthcare management
- Outstanding organizational communication and leadership abilities
- Excellent decisionmaking skills and a focus on outcomes
- Capacity to collaborate well and foster a team atmosphere
- Adaptability and willingness to change to meet the needs of the business
