Role Description:

We are seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company based in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have 34 years of experience within the Irish construction sector specifically in residential projects. This role involves managing costs relating to building and civil engineering projects ensuring value for money while adhering to quality standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates.
• Managing project costs within budgetary constraints.
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Monitoring and controlling variations.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 34 years of experience with an Irish construction company focusing on residential projects (preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent numerical and IT skills including proficiency with QS software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
