Medical coding specialist

Educational Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor's degree in health information management, health sciences, or related field. Professional certifications in medical coding such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) are preferred.

Medical Coding Knowledge: Deep understanding of medical coding systems such as ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. Ability to accurately apply medical codes to medical diagnoses and procedures.

Technical Skills: Ability to use Health Information Management (HIM) software and systems and medical coding software.
