Job Description
Lionsgate Contractors are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Fitter to start with a valued client based in Winfrith Dorset.
This position is for a 6month contract (with the potential for movement into a permanent role) 37.5 hours per week / 5 days a week Monday to Friday.
This role involves fabricating and fitting duties to support the commissioning of a new project as well as onsite maintenance and ongoing maintenance of the site and the project life span.
Job requirements:
- Experience in using hand and power tools; small scale fabrications.
- Experience in commissioning new project mechanical installations inspections and testing routines.
- Knowledge of electrical installations and faultfinding.
- Ability to perform basic electrical assembly and read electrical circuit drawings.
- Proficiency in cooling system assembly including setting to work filling venting purging and draining.
- Experience in supporting and developing safe systems of work including conducting risk assessments.
- Familiarity with lifting operations for Slinging and Rigging; lifting requirements are less than 1 tonne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly of mechanical pneumatic components and subassemblies some electrical support with connections and testing.
- Experience in delivering maintenance tasks for other site systems and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting manufacturing and assembly drawings and creating work instructions.
- Checking the complete assembly for alignment quality and functionality.
- Ensuring personal and team safety by adhering to safety rules and policies.
Ideal candidate:
- Selfdriven with a logical working manner.
- Ability to question designs and suggest improvements.
- Attention to detail and careful nature with a clear recording or nonconformances.
- Formal qualifications such as an apprenticeship or HND.
