Job Description

Job Title: Communications Representative

Location: Reno NV

Job Type: FullTime

Department: Communications

Reports To: Communications Manager

Position Overview:

The Communications Representative will be responsible for creating implementing and overseeing communications programs be it internal or external that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products. This role involves media and public relations social media and marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Media Relations:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
    • Draft and distribute press releases media advisories and other press materials.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate interviews.
  2. Social Media Management:

    • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the company’s online presence.
    • Monitor social media channels engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
    • Analyze social media metrics and create reports to track the effectiveness of campaigns.
  3. Internal Communications:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of internal communication strategies.
    • Produce and distribute internal newsletters announcements and other communications to keep employees informed and engaged.
    • Coordinate and support internal events and meetings.
  4. Public Relations:

    • Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance the company’s public image.
    • Organize and coordinate events such as press conferences open houses and promotional events.
    • Develop and maintain a positive public image for the organization.
  5. Crisis Communications:

    • Assist in the development of crisis communication plans and manage communication during crisis situations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate communication to stakeholders during crises.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems.
  • Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation is a plus.
