The Role:

We are seeking adetailoriented and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and processing invoicesensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate financial records. This roleis crucial for managing our companys expenses and ensuring that our accountspayable operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Review verify and process invoices for payment. Ensure all invoices have appropriate documentation and approval.
• Payment Management: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments and manage cheque runs.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organised records of all transactions. Ensure all files and documentation are complete and correctly filed.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are uptodate. Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to ensure accuracy of payment details and address any billing issues.
• Expense Reporting: Assist with monthend closing and provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant legal regulations.
• Support: Provide support to the finance department as needed.

What are we looking for:

• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of accounts payable general accounting experience or accounting assistant experience.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamic NetSuite Sage).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Time Management: Efficient in managing time and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
• Problem Solving: Aptitude for identifying problems and developing effective solutions.
• Integrity: Demonstrates high ethical standards and professionalism.
