Job Description

Our Goldfields client is seeking an AHPRA Registered Nurse FIFO exPerth on a contract basis 8:6 commencing in July.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency and nonemergency medical assistance and care onsite.
  • Assist in managing medical emergency preparedness processes by reviewing and updating emergency procedures.
  • Deliver medical training and coaching to Emergency Response Team (ERT) members.
  • Participate in emergency response training to understand different roles during emergencies.
  • Manage onsite medical facilities for a timely and professional response.
  • Conduct regular training on defibrillator usage and medical issues.
  • Develop and maintain an audit function for health and medical management.
  • Support Health & Safety (H&S) Manager in meeting reporting requirements and analyzing health data.
  • Promote and adhere to company methodologies policies and standards.
  • Assist in interpreting legislation standards and agreements for risk management.
  • Collaborate with OHS Department on projects related to health hygiene and workers compensation.
  • Ensure efficient administration and injury management data recording.
  • Conduct regular biological monitoring related to lead arsenic and mercury exposure groups.


Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors in Paramedical Science or equivalent experience with State Ambulance Service or Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) qualification.
  • Experience in emergency medical care and first responder roles.
  • Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual "C" Class).
  • Familiarity with RFDS protocols and medical evacuation procedures.
  • Knowledge of Injury Management/Return to Work processes.
  • Experience in rural/remote medical services.
  • 3 years experience in the Mining industry.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostics skills.
  • Background in Workers Compensation and Injury Management.
  • Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or Hygiene.
  • Exposure to emergency response situations in mining environments.
  • Familiarity with INX systems.
  • Certification in Training & Assessing.
Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • 3 years experience in the Mining industry.
