North American Purchasing Director

• Identify evaluate and establish relationships with suppliers in the US and Mexico
  
• Foster strategic partnerships to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability
  
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers ensuring favorable terms and conditions
  
• Possess legal knowledge relevant to purchases and commercial issues in both Mexico and the US
  
• Handle contracts prices payment terms and work framework agreements
  
• Oversee the management of national and international suppliers
  
• Ensure supplier performance aligns with company standards and expectations
  
• Manage the procurement of direct and indirect materials including Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies
  
• Lead and manage procurement projects focusing on achieving cost reduction goals
  
• Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses
  
• Develop monitor and manage the procurement budget
  
• Ensure expenditures align with the financial objectives of the organization
  
• Possess expertise in the automotive industry with a preference for experience in interiors and plastics
  
• Lead and manage teams across different countries
  
• Supervise personnel and ensure effective collaboration and performance
  

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in similar positions in purchasing management procurement
  
• Advanced English
  
• Engineering or bachelors degrees
  
• Preferably with Passport and VISA (Will be traveling to the US and Europe)
  
• Place of Residence: Mexico
  
• Availability to travel 50% of the time
