North American Purchasing Director
Mexico
- Identify evaluate and establish relationships with suppliers in the US and Mexico
- Foster strategic partnerships to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers ensuring favorable terms and conditions
- Possess legal knowledge relevant to purchases and commercial issues in both Mexico and the US
- Handle contracts prices payment terms and work framework agreements
- Oversee the management of national and international suppliers
- Ensure supplier performance aligns with company standards and expectations
- Manage the procurement of direct and indirect materials including Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies
- Lead and manage procurement projects focusing on achieving cost reduction goals
- Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses
- Develop monitor and manage the procurement budget
- Ensure expenditures align with the financial objectives of the organization
- Possess expertise in the automotive industry with a preference for experience in interiors and plastics
- Lead and manage teams across different countries
- Supervise personnel and ensure effective collaboration and performance
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in similar positions in purchasing management procurement
- Advanced English
- Engineering or bachelors degrees
- Preferably with Passport and VISA (Will be traveling to the US and Europe)
- Place of Residence: Mexico
- Availability to travel 50% of the time
