Our client a leader in its field is expanding and seeks a Paralegal with 24 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude and provide support to their lawyer(s) and team focusing on delivering excellent service to clients. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision as well as demonstrating discretion strong organizational skills and effective communication. A solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure is also essential.




Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor deadlines send reminders and assist lawyers with timely responses.
  • Draft prepare and proofread correspondence documents and forms.
  • Ensure accurate and timely court filings.
  • Schedule events such as discoveries motions mediations and conferences.
  • Assist in preparing and assembling briefs and records.
  • Prepare releases consents orders and settlement notices.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic files.
  • Fax scan photocopy and bind documents.
  • Transcribe digital dictation.
  • Perform administrative tasks including managing mail and emails accounting file management and expense claims.
  • Update and maintain the lawyer s calendar.
  • Perform other assigned legal and administrative tasks.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 24 years of experience is preferred.
  • Postsecondary Legal Assistant certificate or Law Clerk diploma.
  • Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC Law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational multitasking and timemanagement abilities.
  • Flexible and dependable able to work in a fastpaced environment with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates discretion sound judgment and diplomacy.
