Responsibilities:

• Provide social emotionalrelated support through the SchoolBased Mental Health Grant.
• Utilize knowledge of human behavior social cultural and community influences to help create a positive learning climate.
• Connect community school and home resources to ensure a comprehensive system of support aimed at students’ optimal functioning within the academic program.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state of Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in school social work.
• Masters of Social Work from an accredited educational institution.
• Knowledge of current federal and state laws rules and regulations.
• Ability to develop IEP goals for students and to provide social emotional support through services and interventions aligned with ISBEs Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards.
• Ability to conduct assessments for determining the social emotional and behavior needs of students.
• Experience conducting social development studies functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
