Job Description
Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing student success and wellbeing.
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of hardofhearing teacher to support gradeschool students in the Lockport area. Were looking for passionate individuals eager to help deaf and hardofhearing students reach their fullest academic potential. This role involves close collaboration with educators administrators and families to provide essential support and personalized instruction. Ideal candidates should be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) skilled with assistive technology and experienced in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Additional Details:
- Immediate interviewing
- Fulltime Work Commitment
- Job starts at the beginning of the 2024 School Year
- Occasional travel is required; mileage reimbursed
Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in Deaf Education/Special Education.
- Experience in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred.
- Valid Illinois PEL certification with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Competency in the IEP process and experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting.
