Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a dedicated and qualified Certified School Nurse to join a school district in Fair Lawn New Jersey. The School Nurse will provide comprehensive health services promote health education and maintain a safe environment. They should be compassionate studentfocused and collaborate well with staff parents and healthcare providers.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or Advanced education blending nursing and education
Certification as a school nurse
Valid RN license from the New Jersey Board of Nursing
CPR/BLS Certification
Expertise in student specific case management plans
Responsibilities:
Advocate for child health in schools
Navigate the educational system with minimal disruption to learning and socialization
Suggest and implement accommodations to the learning process based on health needs
Educate school personnel on student health concerns
Coordinate comprehensive health services
Delegate nursing tasks and provide training/supervision
Communicate health information among students staff family and physicians
Develop Individualized Health Care Plans and Emergency Care Plans for students
Counsel students parents and staff on health and psychosocial concerns
Conduct health screenings (vision hearing blood pressure scoliosis height weight)
Participate in identification referral and health appraisal of students with the Child Study Team
Contribute to 504 plan identification and development
Submit data/reports to state agencies regarding immunizations TB testing and employee injuries
Maintain accurate nursing care records
Teach health education and promote wellness activities
Provide assessment and care for onsite injuries and illnesses
