Physical Therapist School-Based Services

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students motor skills strength range of motion and functional abilities.
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in accordance with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students including therapeutic exercises manual techniques and assistive device training both in individual and group settings.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into students educational plans and support their participation in classroom activities and school routines.
  
• Monitor students progress and adjust treatment plans as needed maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
  
• Educate and empower students families and school staff regarding strategies for promoting independence mobility and overall physical wellbeing.
  

Requirements

• Physical Therapy license in the state of Illinois
  
• Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  
• Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy principles techniques and interventions.
  
• Commitment to evidencebased practice ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
