Position: Registered Nurse

Job Overview: The School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate fulltime Registered Nurse to join our team in Clarksburg CA. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive health services to students ensuring a healthy and safe school environment. This role involves addressing students physical and emotional health needs providing first aid managing chronic health conditions and promoting health education.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Health Services:

   • Provide direct nursing care to students including first aid emergency care and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
   • Manage and administer medications as prescribed ensuring proper documentation and adherence to school policies.
   • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with chronic health conditions.

2. Health Assessments and Screenings:

   • Conduct routine health screenings (e.g. vision hearing scoliosis) and ensure followup as needed.
   • Perform health assessments to identify and address any healthrelated barriers to learning.

3. Health Education and Promotion:

   • Educate students staff and parents on healthrelated topics promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
   • Develop and implement health education programs and initiatives within the school.

4. Record Keeping and Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
   • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding health documentation and reporting.

5. Collaboration and Consultation:

   • Work collaboratively with school staff parents and external healthcare providers to support students health and wellbeing.
   • Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings providing healthrelated input and recommendations.

6. Health and Safety Policies:

   • Assist in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures.
   • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy school environment including managing infectious disease prevention and control measures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Certification in School Nursing (CSN) is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous experience working as a nurse in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric health school health regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
