Adelphi is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide care at a correctional facility in Santa Fe New Mexico. The ideal candidate will provide psychiatric treatment to inmate patients and supervise the psychiatric care of assigned inmate patients under treatment by other clinicians while ensuring adherence to standards of care and practice.

Responsibilities:
Performs psychiatric evaluations of inmatepatients.
Review result of lab and other diagnostic tests.
Prescribe treatment and a followup plan for mental health problems.
Document results of psychiatric examinations diagnoses and treatments in the individual inmatepatients medical record.
Participate in studies of major health problems affecting inmates and make recommendations to the Health Services Administrator (HSA).
Obtain written informed consent from inmatepatients for psychotropic medications upon evaluation.
Provide psychiatric information to the multidisciplinary treatment team to assure continuity of prescribed treatment and programmatic function of the patient.
Provide psychiatric treatment in compliance with all established standards and departmental procedures under the supervision of the Medical Director.
Perform other duties as assigned.
