2024-25 Winter Season Marketing Events PR KOL Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Emerging from the pandemic and with a renewed sense of purpose with The Luxe Nomad s partnership we are looking to drive our marketing forward and truly challenge the status quo within the hospitality industry.

As our Seasonal Events PR and KOL Officer you will work closely with the Assistant Marketing Manager and wider marketing team to plan confirm and deliver our Events PR and Media and KOL (influencer talent) projects across our luxury properties and nearby ski resorts.

We re looking for someone with communication events and/or public relation skills with a marketing or travel tourism background. You will take responsibility for guest experience projects such as event planning event delivery activations booking influencer stays creating agreements meeting and greeting KOLs and media and more. You will also liaise with hotel staff and suppliers to deliver these projects alongside the Niseko team.

This role will involve getting your hands dirty working indoors and outdoors physical work related to event set up and delivery and flexibility in work hours and days when required. You may be asked to help with other general marketing and event related tasks or travel to other locations such as Furano and Rusutsu. If you re up for a challenge keep reading.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Researches engages plans welcomes and reports on influencer and media projects according to the SOPs and strategy directions from management and the wider team.

Liaises with partners and talent in a positive and professional manner (event partners hotel staff tenant restaurants VIP guests agencies influencers agents other partners) to deliver on projects

Assists with the booking planning and delivery of events and activations during snow season according to event run sheets. Events such as Christmas New Years Chinese New Years Popup bars staff events and VIP welcome. This may include tasks such as serving drinks/food physical lifting and logistics or wearing costumes if required as per plans.

Welcomes special guests media and KOLs on arrival to properties acting as a first point of contact for their stay and assisting with booking related matters.

Proactively reaches out to possible new talent via social media and email according to SOPs in conjunction with the Group PR executive.

Takes responsibility for reporting back on the progress of projects and monitoring returns from media and KOL partnerships.

Assists with other marketing tasks as per your skillset and requests including but not limited to photo editing graphic design website blog writing email content writing event assistance (setup/logistics/delivery) activation assistance.

Contributes to the wider marketing team on all things events PR media and influencers.

Performs other duties as assigned by Management across other departments if requested.

Requirements

Experience or qualifications in a related field of Events Communications Public Relations Media or Marketing.

Previous experience with KOL (influencer) or media marketing strongly desired.

Previous experience working in travel hotels or hospitality strongly desired.

Outgoing personable and friendly demeanour to talent colleagues and customers.

Ability to drive and attain an International Drivers Permit strongly desired.
