We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at our stateoftheart health and rehab facility. As an Occupational Therapist you will play a vital role in helping residents achieve greater independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents physical emotional and cognitive abilities to determine their functional limitations and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings incorporating therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance residents daily living skills.
- Provide interventions to improve residents fine motor skills coordination strength and overall functional abilities.
- Educate residents and their families on strategies and techniques to facilitate independence in daily activities and promote safety.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians nurses physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document residents progress adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of treatment sessions progress notes and resident outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings case conferences and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development and stay current with industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist preferably in a health and rehab setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidencebased practices in occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents families and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and MS Office suite.
Compensation:
- Salary: $85000 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications.
