Senior Research Associate CMC Process Development

Our client is a startup biotech company specialized in the development of glycoengineered biologics and is located near Zrich Switzerland. Our clients CMC Process Development and Analytics team is responsible for developing optimizing and scaling up upstream and downstream manufacturing processes for tox and clinical drug supply and developing analytical assays for final product release testing product characterization and supporting product and process development.

Tasks

• Developing robust purification processes unit operation steps and inprocess control methods for the purification of our drug candidates.
• Performing batch purifications and characterization of recombinant glycoproteins.
• Planning and executing process and knowhow transfer to external parties and supervising ongoing work.
• Performing experiments according to established plans timelines and priorities.
• Maintaining infrastructure & equipment in the area of responsibility.
• Proactively providing solutions to technical and scientific problems.
• Processing evaluating and reporting of data as well as presentation in scientific meetings.

Requirements

You have a proven track record in CMC process development biochemistry including protein purification characterization and protein engineering. You are experienced in developing GMPcompliant purification procedures for glycoproteins and antibody formats. You have an advanced education and substantial practical experience in biochemistry bioprocessing or similar field.

• MSc in biochemistry molecular biology bioengineering or another relevant field.
• 4 years of handson experience in industrial CMC process development with GMP exposure for the purification of therapeutic proteins.
• Practical handson experience in TFF UFDF unit operation step development.
• Extensive practical experience in chromatography process development with a variety of separation techniques.
• Good ITskills (Excel databases statistical software).
• Very good communication skills in English written and verbal.
• Excellent planning and strong organizational skills able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities.
• Proactive and problemsolving attitude.
• Personal resilience perseverance energy and drive.
• Selfmotivation and ability to work independently in a fastpace small company environment.
