About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Writing Counsellor to join the team. In this role you will play a vital part in helping students craft compelling and impactful college application essays personal statements and fulfill other writing components.

Location: Flexible (Inperson preferred: 10:30 AM 7:30 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with students to understand their academic goals interests and unique life experiences
• Guide students through the brainstorming and writing process for essays and personal statements bringing a keen passion for creative writing idea formation and storytelling to help them present the best versions of themselves
• Provide constructive feedback and editing support to refine students writing for clarity flow critical thinking and persuasiveness
• Ensure all writing adheres to specific college application requirements and deadlines
• Maintain open communication with students and address any concerns or questions
• Stay uptodate on current trends and best practices in college application writing

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in English Writing or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
• Prior experience in teaching or coaching writing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport and trust with students from diverse backgrounds
• Familiarity with the US college application process is a plus
