Description

Deliverables:

1. Conduct Current State Assessments:

• (a) Performs comprehensive analysis including technical process skills and financial assessments of ITS products and services in consultation with relevant stakeholders;
• (b) Assess product/service maturity;
• (c) Identifies capability gaps relative to client requirements and industry best practices;
• (d) Documents all findings in a formal report.

2. Perform Strategic Options Analysis:

• (a) Leads workshops with stakeholders to define service vision and identify expected business benefits and outcomes;
• (b) Consults with industry and perform jurisdictional scans of peer organizations to inform options selection;
• (c) Develops final list of potential options guided by industry best practice and informed through stakeholder and industry consultations;
• (d) Performs cost/benefit analysis for each option considered;
• (e) Documents all findings in a formal report.

3. Define Strategic Target State:

• (a) Leads target state definition workshops in collaboration with service/product leads and relevant stakeholders;
• (b) Works with users and stakeholders to develop business requirements and metrics;
• (c) Documents highlevel target state architecture;
• (d) Refines cost analysis for the new target state;
• (e) Develops gap analysis report for technology processes and people
• (f) Develops highlevel roadmap/implementation plan to achieve target state;
• (g) Documents all findings in a formal report.

4. Lead Business Case Development:

• (a) Leads the development of ITS Business Cases for ITS strategies in collaboration with ITS corporate procurement relevant stakeholders and in compliance with OPS governance and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the development of multiyear service/product strategies;
• Development and standardized application of bestpractice methodologies and frameworks;
• Leading strategic initiatives;
• Engaging/collaborating with users and stakeholders;
• Working at all levels across the organization from endusers to executive management;
• Presenting to a wide range of audiences including executive management;
• Development of presentations reports and relevant collateral as required.

Experience with complex IT hosting environments 15%

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of modern technologies frameworks and tools.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify analyze and creatively solve complex business issues relating to the delivery of hosting services.
• Leading strategic initiatives: Experience in overseeing projects/initiatives from conception to completion ensuring that all strategic requirements are met.

Knowledge of modern technologies and practices 20%

• Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of both cloud platforms and onpremises hosting solutions.
• Modern Technologies: Skills in adapting/integrating modern technologies with evolving service/product strategies.
• Modern Practices: Knowledge of best practices including agile and lean development.

Strategy & Planning 15%

• Strategic Frameworks: Experience in the development and application of service/product strategy methodologies.
• Strategic Alignment: Proficiency in aligning IT strategies with overarching business objectives.
• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate how strategic options support business goals.
• Adaptability: Skills in adapting modern industry practices to evolving business needs.

Analysis of complex systems and solutions 10%

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and compare the benefits and limitations of strategic options/solutions.
• Costing: Exposure to pricing and costing models used to support the delivery of hosting services.
• Metrics/KPIs: Skills in defining and measuring performance indicators for current and new services.
• Report writing: Experience in developing and presenting executivelevel reports to management.

Consulting background 10%

• Organization: Describe the types of organizations you have worked for in the past i.e. government/private sector the size of the organization; the role you worked in and how long you worked there.
• Deliverables: Describe the types of strategic deliverables you have produced.
