We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview Data Governance & Compliance Engineer to design and develop solutions using the Microsoft Purview platform to address data governance compliance and risk management requirements. The ideal candidate will have handson experience with Microsoft Purview and a strong understanding of data governance compliance and risk management concepts.

Responsibilities:

• 5 years of experience as a software developer or data engineer.
• Handson experience with Microsoft Purview (formerly Azure Information Protection and Microsoft Cloud App Security).
• Experience with Azure Sentinel and Microsoft 365 Compliance Center.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Certifications related to Microsoft Azure or data governance are a plus.
• Proficient in C# PowerShell and Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Strong understanding of data governance compliance and risk management concepts.
• Knowledge of data classification sensitivity labeling and retention policies.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics and other Azure data services.
• Ability to automate deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations like GDPR HIPAA and CCPA.
• Familiarity with data lineage and data catalog tools.
• Exposure to security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
• Design and develop solutions using the Microsoft Purview platform to address data governance compliance and risk management requirements.
• Implement data classification sensitivity labeling and retention policies across various data sources integrated with Purview.
• Automate data discovery cataloging and lineage using Purview connectors and APIs.
• Configure Purview risk management features like data sensitivity vulnerability assessment and data access reviews.
• Integrate Purview with other Microsoft services like Azure Sentinel Microsoft 365 Compliance and Azure Active Directory.
• Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on Purview capabilities and best practices.
• Collaborate with data owners IT and security teams to ensure effective data governance and compliance.
