Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data.
- Define database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
- Design solutions that cater to the endtoend life cycle of the information being managed.
- Handson experience in performancetuning techniques.
- Define security and backup procedures based on the criticality of the data element.
- Lead the design and prototyping; guide developers in solving complex technical problems.
- Translate complex business processes and concepts into simple technology frameworks for developers to realize it.
- Align the solution to the enterprise standards and guidelines.
Musthaves:
- 15 years of technology delivery experience with at least 10 years of focus in database system architecture and design.
- Experience producing highquality Solution architecture and design documents.
- Handson experience in working with popular database products like MS SQL server and Oracle and good working knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to socialize and communicate the technical architecture and design to businesses and developers.
- Experience in cloud computing (IaaS PaaS) and familiarity with at least one prominent Cloud vendor (AWS preferable).
- Experience in security aspects of data storage and retrieval.
- Good understanding of DevOps and/or continuous deployment and/or integration processes and tools like Jenkins.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings and participate in teambuilding efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions peer reviews etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OPWiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
