About the role

Integrated Management Strategies (IMS) a womanowned small business specializing in healthcare IT and management consulting is seeking a Grants Management Specialist to join our fastgrowing organization. We are proud of our national presence and excited to offer great career opportunities within the organization. Employees may choose to work remotely or at the Federal clients office in Alexandria Virginia. Occasional travel to Alexandria VA or events in the United States may also be required.

What youll do

The Grants Management Specialist will work within the grants management administrative systems for the Farm to School program.

The Grants Management Subject Matter Expert will provide grants management subject matter expertise and support services to complete the following tasks:

Review track retain and archive grantee reports and deliverables using the grants management system designated filing systems.

Assist in facilitating regular collaboration calls with grantees including participating in discussions presenting findings from report/deliverable reviews maintaining list of attendees and recording meeting minutes.

Coordinate webinars presentations meetings and maintain meeting and attendance records.

Serve as the grantee reporting liaison and point of contact for grantees seeking extensions modifications and/or revisions to their project or budget.

Travel to annual grantee gatherings and lead inperson sessions and technical assistance sessions for new grantees.

Participate in meetings in an effort to advance team connectivity coordination and crosscollaboration with the National and Regional Offices.

Perform grant administrative tasks such as preparing agendas handouts and collecting materials.

Perform on boarding activities for new awardees and coordinate the grant closeout process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree or commensurate professional experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated relevant employment experience in cooperative agreement or grant management preferably with federal grant regulations and grant management processes.
  • Proficiency in English to communicate with Federal staff and grantees. Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions discuss and clarify instructions and use proper punctuation and grammar when drafting materials and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Access in order to manage correspondence reports and other administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of and experience with various Webinar platforms such as WebEx Zoom Microsoft Teams etc.
  • A consistent demonstration of professionalism fairness cooperation and respect towards coworkers and Federal customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and priorities while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Extensive written and verbal communication including good responsiveness to coworkers and potential/current grantees.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with public health nutrition or foodservice grant programs preferred but not required.
  • Quick learner who enjoys learning new software and digital tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
