The Business Development Manager is accountable for the development of a number of designated customer accounts. Performance will be measured on the achievement of growth in turnover profitability volume and growth of key brands.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve volume profit and share objectives for each designated account in line with Excellence commercial strategy.
- Develop a support package and distribution program in conjunction with the commercial team.
- Achieve distribution display pricing brand growth and customer support package objectives.
- Manage the designated account base using the principles of trade execution sales execution and account development striving to achieve preferred supplier status for key brands.
- Achieve display objectives through effective management of primary and secondary displays and proper use of digital and physical point of sale material.
- Conduct formal business reviews with each of the accounts on a quarterly basis.
- Effectively communicate all head office negotiations to the appropriate customer management to ensure total exploitation of opportunities provided through effective business development.
- Generate and manage effective relationships with customer sales teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Measure and report back on the tangible impact of converting these opportunities through the company CRM platform.
- Prompt and accurate completion of all administration tasks.
- Call with the decisionmakers within the account base in a structured and timely fashion.
- Fully communicate with all other departments within the business.
- Achieve all credit control targets.
- Show innovation in achieving solutions to problems and opportunities.
- Successfully manage and record customer interactions using the company CRM platform.
- Portray company as a highly effective customeroriented company in all dealings with the trade.
- Portray us as a company that is determined to grow the business through focused highquality consumer activity.
- Remain commercially aware of all issues that might impact on company's business.
- Develop competencies that will facilitate the achievement of SMART business objectives.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- A minimum of 3 years sales experience part of which must incorporate the
- head office management of Key accounts within a business.
- Motivated ambitious resilient and proactive
- Proven negotiation skills
- Highly developed communication skills
- Good organisational and planning skills
- A full and current driving licence
