Oracle Database Administrator

Our client a multinational bank headquartered in Switzerland is looking for an Oracle DBA to join the growing team in Basel.

Tasks

• Monitoring tuning backup of the Oracle DB
• Optimize resources utilization by analyzing and proposing improvements on the database level in conjunction with the life cycle management of applications hosted
• Recovery and troubleshooting in the 2nd level area incl. oncall service
• Development and implementation of automation solutions for database operation
• Collaboration in the further development and optimization of existing infrastructures and active support of migration projects
• Collaboration in projects and planning of technical tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or completed apprenticeship or similar education
• 5 years of practical experience in the field of Oracle DB engineering and operations
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) and AIX knowhow is required
• Knowledge in the area of Postgres MS SQL is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as ability to weight problems and set priorities
• Willingness to take responsibility and ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in English fluency in German is a plus
