Job Description
Monitoring Compliance: The DPO is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union or other relevant regulations like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Advising on Data Protection Obligations: The DPO provides advice and guidance to the organization and its employees on their data protection obligations, including privacy policies, data processing activities, and individual rights under applicable laws.
Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs): Conducting or overseeing DPIAs to assess the impact of data processing activities on individuals' privacy rights and advising on measures to mitigate risks.
